Barbering 1 — Certificate Course

Barbering 1 is a short, non-vocational certificate course introducing barbering tools, consultation, cutting, blending, beard work, and razor skills. All exercises are completed on a mannequin. Students can continue learning specific techniques in Barbering 2. Completing either course, or both courses, does not by itself qualify or authorize you to work as a barber or hairstylist in Ontario.

• •Draping, shampooing, scalp massage
• •Simulated shaving
• •Identifying hair texture and density
• •Head shape
• •Haircuts and blending

• •Scissor-over-comb skills

Practical Application
